Maths: This week in maths I did powers and BED-MAS. BED-MAS stands for Brackets, Exponents, Division, Multiplication, Addition and Subtraction. Powers are numbers that have little numbers behind them. For example: 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 2, It would be easier to write two with a little eight beside it. The eight is there because it means there are eight twos in the equation.
Tech Arts: This week in tech arts we had to make up a dance and then show it to the others. We did it in the dance room. The dance had to be based on sports. My group did all right. My favourite move was when we did cannons on passing a rugby ball and a netball pass.
Writing: This week in writing we did Gallipoli writing again. I have almost finished and it is pretty good. I am happy with it and all I really need to do is edit my work and print it.
Camp: Next week we go on our camp to Wellington. We leave on Sunday and come back on friday. It is going to be really fun and I can't wait. We are going to Parliament and we are going on the Cable Cars and lots more.

Learning Reflection-Term 1 Week 6
Maths:This week in maths I learnt what prime and composite numbers were. Prime numbers are numbers that can only be divided by themselves and one. For example 13 is a prime number because nothing other than itself and one can be divided into it. A composite number is pretty much the opposite. 18 is a composite number because it is a number that can be divided by more than one and itself.
For an example: 2,13,18,24,
List the composite numbers: 2,18,24
List the prime numbers: 13
Tech Arts: This week in tech arts (music) we played music on the keyboard, guitar and drums. It was fun. We were doing tests and 1 is the lowest and 3 is the highest. I got a 3 in keyboard and drums, and either a 2 or 3 in guitar.
Writing: In writing this week we have been writing about Gallipoli. We have been doing it on the computers. We have to write a report about Gallipoli. We have highlighted all the facts we might need on a sheet of paper.
